Originally built to Moorings specifications for its chartering fleet, WE TWO has a three cabin layout with three heads. We have particularly enjoyed the large owner's cabin that is located forward. A unique construction of the forward bulkhead permits great ventilation even when cabin hatches must be closed. Guests greatly appreciate the convenience of three heads.
WE TWO is one sweet-sailing boat. She's fast and sprightly, responds well to heavy winds and gives a good accounting in light winds. The 445 is among the fastest of the cruising sailboats, but it is easily sailed by two people. We have sailed WE TWO at 10.5 knots under reefed main and jenny. For the occasional times an extra boost is needed,WE TWO is powered by a Yanmar 58-horsepower diesel engine, one of the most reliable marine engines afloat. She carries fifty-four gallons of fuel and consumes about .75 gallons per hour, giving her a very wide range per tank. Also, WE TWO carries 200 gallons of fresh water in three tanks. The galley contains a refrigerator with freezer section, as well as a three-burner propane stove with oven. The oven bakes reliably at the requested temperature and the broiler is a great convenience. In addition to the boat, a dinghy and 8-horsepower Yamaha engine are included.
